Meagan Owen, 29, found a love for the action of boxing and inspiring young girls coming up in the sport. Owen began boxing in New York at 21 with the motivation of her mother by her side. She moved back to Augusta, Georgia in 2015, earning her biggest victory at the Ringside World Championship Tournament in Missouri. Now settled back in New York, Owen travels from her home in Westchester weekly in The Bronx to Fort Greene, Brooklyn to train with Coach Carl Wilson. On Saturday, September 18th, 2021 Owen spars against the US Marines Women’s Boxing Team.
